According to Indiana 2021 State Law, specifically State of Indiana Code: Title 21 - Higher Education: the State of Indiana excludes "instruction which is clearly self-improvement." Vista Collegium does not provide collegiate degrees; it is not a college or university. Vista Collegium is an "institute" that offers its participants instruction that is exclusively self-improvement mentoring and motivational tutoring. Conforming to IC 21-18, Vista Collegium is NOT in the purview of the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education.

Vista Collegium is a self-improvement and personal development leadership institute. Self-improvement is recognizing areas in your life in which you need to make improvements and accomplishing those changes. It is a focus on improving certain habits or characteristics of your personality and lifestyle choices.

Personal development is to become a lifelong learner to comprehend an appropriate action by simultaneously applying relevant experience and knowledge in the correct context and perspective to invoke reasonable decisions - applied wisdom.

Vista Collegium reveals latent qualities and hidden potentialities through a program of successive states of change each of which is preparatory for the next. Participants are coached from a simpler state of existence to a more structured, functional complex and highly organized state through a process of natural growth, differentiation, and successive logical changes. The ultimate aim is for each participant to become more authentic, inspiring and responsible to prepare them as competent leaders with the skills to foster win-win relationships between individuals within their community.

Emblem and Motto

The official Vista Collegium Emblem always includes the Vista Collegium Latin motto in lumine Dei "in the light of God" that is pronounced in lu-mi-nay day-ee [accent on first syllable of second word].

Inclusive Stance on Religion

Each participant is encouraged to observe their religion in accordance with the deepest promptings of their belief. Vista projects a circle of faith in the light of God broad and inclusive enough to embrace each participant's specific faith.
